05/10/2019Corrado Bonomi arrives in the Sea of Sicily with the boxes of the "Nino Castiglione" company.
Passed the Cantabrian Sea, we continue our journey among the seas of the world landing in the Mediterranean See: the artwork “Mare” comes to life in the smart fish-cans of the Nino Castiglione’s Company from Erice.
55 oil painting fish-cans represent the Italian excellence in the business field of canned fish. Mare - let us not forget - stems from the desire to start a cycle of artworks about the seas of the world, through the eyes of business operators who made of their work a real passion, a “form of art” – Among artists, it takes one to know one!
Nino Castiglione’s company – besides being the first Italian producer for larger national retailers and besides maintaining the ancient Sicilian processing methods – joins the Dolphin Safe Project, which guarantees a selective fishing. Nino Castiglione obtained the Friend of the Sea certification and the MSC certification, which are two important achievements from the point of view of the respect for marine species and for the oceans.
Environmental sustainability and the protection of our delicate ecosystem have always been at the heart of my artistic activity – and it is great to meet such sensible companies, in the field of the large production and retails.
